Local multifamily developer Oden Hughes has begun construction on Lenox Springs, a 660-unit luxury apartment complex to be built along the South I-35 frontage road between Old San Antonio Road and FM 1626. Leasing for the first phase, which will include 400 units, is expected to begin fall 2017. The start date for leasing of the second phase has not been determined, according to a release by Oden Hughes. Other complexes developed by Oden Hughes in South and Southwest Austin include Lenox Creekside and Landmark Conservancy. “Interest in the area among luxury apartment dwellers has remained strong as downtown and closer-in areas have become more and more expensive,” Oden Hughes Management President Stephani Park said. In Southwest Austin, along Southwest Parkway and Hwy. 290, apartment developers have begun or completed numerous luxury apartment complexes within the past eight years.
