Updated: Nov. 7, 1:08 a.m. With all 143 Travis County precincts reporting, Incumbent Mayor Rose Cardona has kept her seat in Sunset Valley with 225 total votes. Mayor Pro Tem Ketan Kharod has received 148 votes in the election. With two seats up for grabs in the Sunset Valley City Council race, Phil Ellett led with 163 votes, while Melissa C. Gonzales was second with 162 votes. Joe Koizen received 155 votes, and  Karen L. Medicus recieved 131 votes. Both fell short of earning council seats. While Kharod did not win the city's mayor seat, he will still maintain his current seat on city council. Original post: Nov. 6, 7:29 p.m. Incumbent Mayor Rose Cardona leads Mayor Pro Tem Ketan Kharod in Sunset Valley's mayoral race after early voting results were reported by Travis County. Results are not official until canvassed. Cardona received 147 early votes compared to Kharod's 88 votes. In Sunset Valley's City Council election, Melissa C. Gonzales leads a narrow race with 105 votes. Joe Koizen received 99 early votes, Phil Ellett received 98, and Karen L. Medicus received 80 early votes. The top two candidates in the race will serve on council.
