County commissioners lifted the burn ban temporarily due to the recent rainfall in the area. The county will reinstate the burn ban as the weather conditions began to get more humid and dry. Here are three other items of note from today’s Commissioners Court meeting: 1. Commissioners voted to issue a call to submit recommendations to name the existing Travis County building, located at 5501 Airport Blvd., Austin. Any private citizen or group can make a recommendation. The deadline to submit recommendations is June 11. 2. Early voting polling locations for the May 22 Primary runoff election were approved by commissioners Tuesday. Travis County voters are allowed to vote at any polling location in the county as long as the resident is registered to vote. The May 22 ballot includes statewide races including governor, state representatives and U.S. representatives. 3. Finding Euphoria, an electronic music festival held in Austin, is awaiting a mass-gathering permit from Travis County citing delays with sending required documents from event organizers. Commissioners are expected to approve a permit at the May 8 meeting, just three days before the festival kicks off.
