Since the craft beer boom took off in 2010, more and more breweries have been popping up in Central Texas. With over 80 local companies now brewing within the Austin, Dripping Springs, Lake Travis, Round Rock, San Marcos and New Braunfels communities, there are ample opportunities to enjoy a pint or explore a venue.

Central Texas’ oldest brewery, Draught House Pub & Brewery, located in Central Austin, dates back to 1968, while others are still under development and expected to open soon. The following timeline shows a history of breweries that are currently operational or are expected to open in Central Texas.
