South Austin’s utility customer service center reopened Nov. 1, following months of closure due to damage caused by Winter Storm Uri, according to a news release from Austin Energy.

Located at 1901 W. William Cannon Drive, Ste. 100, Austin, the center serves city utility customers who need assistance with billing, making payments, setting up payment arrangements and payment options, the release said. It is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

The city also operates a north utility service center on Research Boulevard. Its eastern location for utility customers remains closed.

Austin Energy is encouraging residents to "give the gift of comfort" this holiday season by paying a utility bill for a person in need.

Austin residents can pay any amount of another customer’s bill if they have the name and address of the recipient. From the Gift of Comfort website, residents can download the Gift of Comfort payment form. Once filled out, the form and payment can be delivered to one of the city’s utility payment centers or mailed to City of Austin-Payment Processing, P.O. Box 2267, Austin.
