Within the next three weeks, the Austin Transportation Department's Corridor Construction Program team will be installing new Americans with Disabilities Act-compliant sidewalk ramps at the South Austin intersection of Emerald Forest Drive and William Cannon Drive.

According to a news release by the department, the work is part of the William Cannon Drive Corridor Construction Program, which was one of nine corridors funded through the city of Austin’s 2016 Mobility Bond.

An exact starting date has not been set, but once work begins, it will take about three to five days for crews to complete the ADA sidewalk ramps. Temporary lane closures on William Cannon and sidewalk closures can be expected during construction, according to the department.
