Flight Ice Creams is now open and serving icy desserts across Dripping Springs in various pop-up locations as well as at public and private events. After a few soft openings in June, owner Matt Sorenson officially launched his ice cream business July 17 with a grand opening event at Fitzhugh Brewing.
Sorenson began planning his entry into the ice cream business in 2021 after spending time with his family creating and testing various recipes.
Flight Ice Creams collaborates with other Dripping Springs companies in developing new flavors with local ingredients. Dripping Springs Chocolate Company's dark chocolate is used in various flavors; coffee from Weathered Hands Farmhouse Coffee is used in coffee flavors; and Ghost Note Brewing's beer is used in the Hilco + Reese's recipe.
