1. Evolve Chiropractic is opening Sept. 7 at 400 W. Hwy. 290, Ste. B 203, Dripping Springs. The practice will treat conditions including muscle and joint pain, tendonitis and neuropathy by offering chiropractic manipulative therapy, various muscular and myofascial release therapies, cupping, dry needling, intersegmental traction and vibratory therapy. 2. Secret Oktober, a clothing and accessories store that focuses on goth- and punk-styled items and jewelry, relocated this summer to Crockett Center at 5318 Menchaca Road, Austin. 3. Crepe Crazy, a local restaurant serving a variety of sweet and savory crepes with locations in South Austin at 3103 S. Lamar Blvd., Austin, and in Dripping Springs, is planning to expand outside the state of Texas. The Austin-based business, which is deaf owned and operated, announced Aug. 27 that it will be opening its third location in Baltimore later this year. www.crepecrazy.com

4. McDonald's is reconstructing its restaurant at the Tanglewood Village Shopping Center, 2114 W. Slaughter Lane, Austin. The restaurant chain demolished the old building in the shopping center in August and is in the process of building a new one on the same site. According to the company, customers can order from the McDonald’s at 500 W. William Cannon Drive, Austin, while the Slaughter reconstruction takes place through the winter. 5. A new 7-Eleven convenience store and gas station is being built at the northeast corner of the Nutty Brown Road and W. Hwy. 290 intersection, across the highway from the Nutty Brown Amphitheatre property. The project could open by the end of the year. www.7-eleven.com

6. The Austin Parks Foundation has announced a contest to rename the Zilker Park train, which will be returning in summer 2021. Since 1997, the train has been known as the Zilker Zephyr. It ran from 1961 through 2019, when operations stopped due to track erosion, and in January the city ended its contract with the previous operator. The APF will take over operations and make preparations for the train's return to the park. Meanwhile, the city is going through a master planning process for Zilker Park, 2207 Lou Neff Road, Austin, which will determine how the train fits into the park's new, long-term vision.
