The latest data from the United States Census Bureau shows a spectrum of growth and decline in Dripping Springs, from increased population to a dip in the number of births, according to the U.S. Census Bureau’s American Community Survey Estimates.

The Dripping Springs population continued an upward trend in population, increasing by 727 people in 2023 from 5,495 people in 2022.

The number of births in Dripping Springs hit a low in 2023 with 91 births, after seeing an uptick since 2019.

There was less than a 1 percentage point increase in children under 5 years old from 2022 to 2023. Children under 18 made up 31.8% of the Dripping Springs population in 2023, compared to 31.3% in 2022.

Dripping Springs continued its increase in student enrollment in 2023 but saw a decline in the number of kindergarten students enrolled.
