Dripping Springs City Council and the Dripping Springs ISD board of trustees have opened candidate filing periods for elections taking place May. Completed applications for the seats up for election must be received by Feb. 12 at 5 p.m., according to city and DSISD communications.
Elections for Dripping Springs City Council Places 1, 2 and 3 will take place May 1. Those seats are currently held by Mayor Pro Tem Taline Manassian, Council Member Wade King and former Mayor Todd Purcell, respectively. Applications are available at City Hall or online here. They can be returned to City Hall in person or by mail or email.
Three seats are up for election on the DSISD board of trustees—those currently held by trustees Mary Jane Hetrick, Carrie Kroll and Shannon O'Connor. The district will hold a virtual "candidates academy" Feb. 3 run by interim Superintendent Brett Springston for interested candidates. Applications are available at www.dsisdtx.us/elections and should be returned to the DSISD Administration Building in person or by mail or e-mail.
