District dates to know
The district will be closed every Friday starting June 6 through July 25. The district will be closed for a week from June 30 through July 4.
Students will return for the 2025-26 school year Aug. 13.
During the summer, the board of trustees will have a budget workshop meeting May 30 at 9:30 a.m. to discuss the 2025-26 fiscal year budget. An agenda review meeting will take place June 16, and a regular voting meeting will take place June 23.

Families in need of meals over the summer can use the following resources:
- Call 2-1-1 for assistance finding food, health services, housing and more.
- Visit www.summerfood.org for free meal sites in the Austin area; participants do not have to apply, register or provide identification, according to the website.
- Text “FOOD” or “COMIDA” to 304-304, the Feeding America text line, to locate food in the area.
- Visit the Dripping Springs Helping Hands local food pantry.
