All Austin Community College campuses are set to reopen Friday, Feb. 3, after a winter storm took out power and made roads unsafe to drive in much of the Austin area.

Sydney Pruitt, ACC senior media relations coordinator, said in a press release Thursday, Feb. 2, that any students or employees who may have challenges reporting to class or work due to the ongoing impacts of the winter weather should notify their professor or supervisor directly.

Safety and security services such as the ACC Police Department returned to work Thursday, Feb. 2.

"The college continues to proactively monitor conditions on all campuses," Pruitt said.

According to the National Weather Service, the winter storm warning expired at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 2. Temperatures are expected to begin warming in the area Friday, Feb. 3.
