DSISD ratings visualized

Highlights of DSISD's ratings are organized by school in the above interactive visualization. Overall numbers for the district are also included in the red dot labeled as Dripping Springs ISD.

Key metrics from the TEA's accountability report included in the visualization are the overall school rating and score, the School Progress rating and score, the Student Achievement rating and score, and the Closing the Gaps rating and score. Overall scores for districts are calculated by taking into account the School Progress, Student Achievement and Closing the Gaps scores.

The overall score "measures what students are learning in each grade and whether or not they are ready for the next grade. It also shows how well a school prepares their students for success after high school in college, the workforce, or the military," according to the TEA.

School Progress measures how students perform over time. Student Achievement measures how well students performed on the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness as well as graduation rates. The Closing the Gaps score measures how well a district or school helps all student groups along.
