Italian-American restaurant Cousin Louie's is slated to open Feb. 3 in the Belterra Village Shopping Center, according to a news release.
On the menu
Cousin Louie’s will offer a taste of Tony and Louis Ciola’s family recipes.
Louis Ciola, Tony Ciola’s cousin, is a third-generation chef and has curated the menu to feature his favorite family recipes, along with some originals. The menu includes chicken piccata, pork chop milanese and peppers, baked clams, ricotta and honey bruschette, gnocchi alla vodka, housemade desserts, and more.
The restaurant will have handmade pastas, such as butternut squash tortelli, cavatelli and sausage and agnolotti bolognese.
Tony Ciola, a certified sommelier, curated the wine list with glass and bottle offerings from around the world, but primarily focusing on Italian wines, according to the news release. The list includes Italian red and white wines, beer and sangria.
The background
The restaurant will be operated by the Ciolas and Creed Ford, co-founders of Austin-based Tc4 and Co. hospitality group. The group operates Mighty Fine Burgers Fries and Shakes, Tony C’s Coal-Fired Pizza, Tony C’s Pizza and Beer Garden, and The League Kitchen and Tavern.
Tony Ciola said the decision to come to the Dripping Springs community matches the ethos of the restaurant.
“Dripping Springs is a close-knit, growing destination with a strong sense of connection and love for food, which aligns with what we aim to deliver at Cousin Louie’s,” he said in a news release. “This community offers the perfect mix of small-town charm with a growing culinary curiosity, making it the ideal place to introduce our family legacy and take on Italian-American cuisine.”
Cousin Louie's is a new concept from Tc4 and is replacing what was a Mighty Fine location.
