Nasha opened its newest location in the Austin area at 8900 S. Congress Ave., Austin, on April 26.

Owner Mahesh Shinde said the restaurant offers health-conscious soul food pulling flavors and techniques from the Mumbai and Malvana coasts of India using curry blends that are ground in-house. The restaurant also offers a Tex-Mex-Indo fusion menu featuring its take on enchiladas, tacos and more.

“We never use food colors or [monosodium glutamate],” Shinde said.

According to Nasha's website, the restaurant serves popular curries such as tikka masala, saag, vindaloo and korma. There are also several vegetarian, cream-free and gluten-free options. A full bar is also available with beers, wine and cocktails for those who wish to imbibe.

“In addition to the standard, we have added our take on tacos, quesadillas and enchiladas, as well as a special brunch menu,” the website reads. “Our food is all Indian and a little Tex-Mex.”
