This is the fifth location for the coffeeshop, and the second to include a drive-thru and indoor seating. Jo’s will serve breakfast tacos, snacks, sandwiches and salads alongside coffee, including the signature iced turbo coffee.
The original Jo’s Coffee is located next to Hotel San José on South Congress at 1300 S. Congress Ave., Austin. The fourth location opened in 2021 at 1000 E. 41st St., Austin.
Jo’s has brewed their own blend of coffee since its founding in 1999 and partners with La Colombe Coffee Roasters to develop Jo’s House Blend, a medium roast that is poured around Austin at Bunkhouse hotels including Hotel San José, Hotel Saint Cecilia, Austin Motel, Hotel Magdalena and Carpenter Hotel.
The new location was worked on by architect Hip Hop Design and JD King Construction. Similar to the original location on South Congress, the South Austin location’s exterior is a two-tone green.
