Active coronavirus hospitalizations in the Austin metropolitan area have peaked once again, reaching 181 on June 22.

Travis County has also seen three new coronavirus deaths, with the current tally at 112 since mid-March.

With 129 new confirmed cases in the county June 22, the county’s total increased to 6,339, while estimated recoveries stand at 4,317 individuals.

As Texas continues to see an increase in confirmed cases of COVID-19 and hospitalizations, Gov. Greg Abbott announced no new restrictions for businesses and gatherings in the state during a June 22 press conference.
