Since June 15, there have been 1,665 new coronavirus cases in Travis County, representing more than 29% of all cases the county has seen since the pandemic began in March.
There were 506 new cases on June 21, setting the single-day record for the county after setting one the previous day with 418 cases.
There have been a total of 109 deaths in Travis County related to the coronavirus, and 5,704 total cases. An estimated 4,069 have recovered in the county as of June 21.
Travis County continues to be in risk Stage 4, with over 20 new admissions into area hospital facilities per day over the past week. The seven-day moving average as of June 20 is 28.6, a number that has increased by six over the past week. There are 172 individuals with COVID-19 currently hospitalized in the area, according to Austin Public Health.
