After entering coronavirus risk Stage 4 over the weekend, Travis County saw 119 confirmed cases June 15, while current hospitalizations in the metropolitan area increased by 13.

There have been a total of 4,664 confirmed cases of COVID-19 since mid-March in Travis County, with an estimated 3,587 individuals recovering and 106 total deaths related to the virus.

There are currently 142 hospitalized individuals with COVID-19 in the metropolitan area, while the seven-day moving average of new cases admitted to hospitals per day reached 22.6, according to Austin Public Health data.

Because the county is now in Stage 4, Austin and Travis County officials are encouraging businesses to limit capacity and residents to redouble efforts to stay safe to slow the spread of the coronavirus in the community.
