There have been 2,933 confirmed coronavirus cases in Travis County as of May 25 after 172 new cases were confirmed over the weekend.

There were also two new coronavirus-related deaths in Travis County from May 23-25, bringing the total in the county to 85.

After peaking with 96 hospitalizations earlier in the week, the number of hospitalized coronavirus patients in the metropolitan area dropped to 82 on Sunday, before rising up to 90 again on May 25.

The number of total coronavirus recoveries in the county since mid-March also topped 1,000 over the weekend, and now stands at 1,020.

May 25 specifically saw 86 new cases, the single largest one-day jump in the county during the pandemic.
