Satellite ATX Restaurant and Bar located near the Circle C Ranch neighborhood changed ownership on July 15.

New owners Ben Hardaway and Kullen Kifer have experience in hospitality consulting and business management, respectively. Hardaway worked for hotel brands in directorial positions, and Kifer background includes serving in various leadership roles at cookie delivery company Tiff’s Treats. Hardaway said both of them have lived in the Circle C neighborhood before, and look forward to engaging with the community.

“We saw we see a lot of great potential in Satellite, and we really look forward to being a part of the neighborhood and making it the preferred place for the neighborhood, not just to Circle C but all the other neighborhoods that surround us, as the preferred place for people to come and enjoy a meal,” Hardaway said.

Hardaway said they have plans to renovate the restaurant’s interior and to make conceptual changes to the business, starting with the menu. They want to make the menu a “celebration of Texan cuisine” by sourcing food locally and creating seasonal menus.

“Texas has a very varied history with all kinds of different cultures influencing the cuisine ... it's not just Tex-Mex,” Hardway said. “Conceptually that's what we'll be working toward in our food and beverage offerings.”

He also said they are looking to incorporate live music at the restaurant.

Satellite offers lunch and dinner menus featuring burgers, salads, seafood dishes and more. The restaurant also serves brunch on the weekends.
