Octapharma Plasma Inc., a plasma collection subsidiary for Octapharma, opened a donation center in Austin on April 4.

The Austin location is one of more than 175 centers in 34 states, according to a news release. The new center is the first in Austin and the 23rd in Texas.

“We have been interested in building a presence in Austin and are looking forward to delivering a first-class experience to its residents,” Octapharma Chief Operating Officer Alice Stewart said in the press release.

Octapharma is located on West William Cannon Drive in the same plaza as McDonald’s, AutoZone and Dollar Tree.​​​​​​​
