Blue Norther Hard Seltzer opened its new South Austin headquarters and tasting room Nov. 5.

With the warehouse space located in The Yard on St. Elmo development at 506 E. St. Elmo Road, Ste. A2, Austin, Blue Norther will also be a venue for live music, according to a news release from the company.

Founder Austin T. Pittman started the company with his son, Austin M. Pittman. The two say they can trace their roots back to an ancestor, James George, who fought in Texas' war for independence from Mexico in 1836.

In keeping with their Texan heritage, the new space has a rustic feel with “Texan flair,” the release said.

The tasting room is open Friday, Saturday and Sunday, while Blue Norther is also sold at H-E-B; Whole Foods Market; Total Wine & More; Spec’s Wine, Spirits & Finer Foods; and other stores in the city, Austin T. Pittman said. The warehouse is also available for private functions, according to the release.
