Williamson County Fair and Rodeo coming to Taylor in October

The Williamson County Fair and Rodeo will be open from Oct. 22-25 in Taylor. Attractions for this year include carnival rides, a children’s business fair, a petting zoo, pig races, the H-E-B Beer and Wine Garden and more.

Trader Joe’s expected to begin construction in Cedar Park this January


Cedar Park’s new Trader Joe’s grocery store is set to break ground this January, according to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. At present, there is no firm timeline for when the store will open.

The highly anticipated new development has been in the works since late 2024. In March, Cedar Park City Council approved a rezoning measure to allow the 12,166-square-foot grocery store to be constructed at the southwest corner of East Whitestone Boulevard and Arrow Point Drive.

Pflugerville home sales decline, prices drop in Hutto


According to September 2025 data by Unlock MLS, with the decline in Pflugerville homes sales—a drop of 20.8% compared to September 2024—the average number of days homes spent on the market increased 28.3%. The median price of homes sold in Pflugerville saw little change, dropping by 1.5% compared to last year.

Meanwhile, the median price of homes sold in Hutto declined by nearly 10% in September. However, this didn’t result in a significant increase in homes sold, as the city saw a 3.5% increase.

Austin ISD offers naming rights at district facilities to generate additional revenue


Austin ISD is seeking to generate more funding through offering naming rights opportunities at its shared facilities. The new initiative is expected to generate AISD tens of millions of dollars as it faces a projected $19.7 million budget shortfall and plans to close 13 schools.

Businesses and organizations may provide sponsorships to earn naming rights at:
  • AISD Performing Arts Center
  • House Park Field
  • Nelson Field
  • Burger Center
  • Delco Center
  • Noack Sports Complex

'Shovel-ready:' Austin ISD nears groundbreaking on affordable apartment community

Austin ISD is one step closer to building affordable housing for its staff and community members in East Austin.


At an Oct. 7 meeting, the AISD Public Facility Corporation approved construction of the first of two income-restricted apartment buildings near East Seventh Street and Airport Boulevard.

Developers are expected to break ground on the 341-unit East apartment building in December for a projected completion date of 2028.

Home sale prices continue to decline in September for Cedar Park and Far Northwest Austin


Median home sale prices continued to drop year over year in September, according to the latest data from Unlock MLS.

Prices in the region fell from an average of $502,500 in September 2024 to $475,000 in September 2025. The market saw a slight increase in the number of closed or pending sales, while the overall number of active listings grew to 1,330, up from 1,073 last year.
