Austin nature lovers and those looking for events to spend time outside this spring can do so at Pease Park Conservancy's fifth annual Squirrel Fest on April 12.

The details

In collaboration with Future Front Texas and other community partners, Squirrel Fest at Pease Park will offer music, food, arts and crafts, and other activities for all ages.

The free event will begin at 4 p.m., and attendees can choose to make a clay "forest friend," create squirrel origami, play bird bingo, watch a puppet show, paint, learn to dance and more. The evening will conclude with a screening of "The Wild Robot" on the park lawn at 8 p.m.

Vendor booths from organizations like Families in Nature and Thinkery will be set up in the park. Squirrel Fest's food vendors include SnoRide, Zee’s Weiner System, Brother Friend and more.
