Incumbent Christi Craddick is expected to face Democratic challenger Katherine Culbert in the race for Texas railroad commissioner this November.

With 99% of polling locations across Texas reporting results, Craddick is projected to win the five-candidate Republican primary with 50.42% of the vote. James "Jim" Matlock trailed Craddick with 26.56% of the vote, while Christie Clark received 11.72% of the vote, Corey Howell received 6.31%of the vote, and Petra Reyes received 4.99% of the vote.

Culbert is projected to win the Democratic primary with 67.67% of the vote. Her primary opponent, Bill Burch, collected 32.33% of the vote.

The three-member Texas Railroad Commission oversees the state's oil and gas industry, coal and uranium surface mining, natural gas utilities, and more. Railroads in Texas are governed by the Texas Department of Transportation.

Katherine Culbert is projected to win the Democratic nomination for Texas railroad commissioner with 67% of the vote and 223 counties reporting results. Bill Burch has 33% of the vote.

Incumbent Christi Craddick leads the Republican primary race with 53% of the vote and 228 counties reporting. James "Jim" Matlock trails Craddick with 26% of the vote, while Christie Clark has 11% of the vote, Corey Howell has 6% of the vote and Petra Reyes has 5% of the vote.

With 205 of Texas's 254 counties reporting Republican primary results, incumbent Christi Craddick is leading the Republican primary race for the Texas Railroad Commission with 55% of the vote. Republican challenger James "Jim" Matlock trails Craddick with 25% of the vote, while Christie Clark has 11% of the vote, Corey Howell has 5% of the vote and Petra Reyes has 4% of the vote.

With 195 counties reporting Democratic primary results, Katherine Culbert has 66% of the vote and Bill Burch has 34% of the vote.

According to unofficial early results, incumbent Christi Craddick is leading the Republican primary race for Texas railroad commissioner with 53% of the vote. Craddick chairs the commission and was first elected in 2012.

With 62 of Texas' 254 counties reporting, Republican challenger James "Jim" Matlock trails Craddick with 26% of the vote, while Christie Clark has 12% of the vote, Corey Howell has 5% of the vote and Petra Reyes has 4% of the vote.

Katherine Culbert leads the two-candidate Democratic primary with 70% of the vote, while Bill Burch has 30% of the vote.
