Whiskey Tango Foxtrot Icehouse is expanding its presence into East Austin with the launch of a new flagship location, WTF Sporting Club.

The features

The club is opening this summer at the former Easy Tiger space on East Seventh Street, with a 5,000-square-foot indoor bar and 33,000-square-foot outdoor area with a performance stage, private cabanas, and bar and entertainment deck.

Televisions, a two-story projector screen and a large LED screen outside will be showing sporting events, while live music, podcasts and other programs will also be hosted year-round.

The new venue's bar serves a selection of beer, wine and signature cocktails like the Pebble Beach Paloma and Bourbon Peach Smash alongside nonalcoholic beverages. WTF's fusion food menu features items like bao bun flights, smash burgers and sweets.

WTF Sporting Club will be open until 2 a.m. seven days a week, with food and drink specials during happy hour from 4-6 p.m. on weekdays.

The new space comes from Gold Fox Hospitality, the team behind the original Whiskey Tango Foxtrot on West Sixth Street.

Co-owners Habib Bakshi, Shabawn Espili and Kahran Espili and General Manager Ryan Keas said they're "thrilled" to be bringing the concept to the east side.

"Our goal is to create a space where people can come together, have fun and make lasting memories. With our innovative offerings and commitment to top-notch service, we believe WTF Sporting Club will quickly become a favorite destination for both locals and visitors," they said in a statement.
