Austin-based coffee roasting company Sightseer Coffee is now open as a coffee bar next to Sugar Mama’s Bakeshop in South Central Austin.

What’s special about it?

Sightseer was founded by Kimberly Zash and Sara Gibson in 2022 as a roasting company that sources exclusively from women producers.

The coffee bar offers standard coffees and specialty drinks crafted with housemade syrups.

“South First is one of my favorite neighborhoods in Austin,” Zash said in a news release. “It’s weird and kitschy and quirky—perfect for us, basically. Everything about South First and Sugar Mama’s feels like the right fit for Sightseer.”
