The new community will be located within The Hatchery, a 17-acre mixed-use master-planned development in East Austin that features a walkable neighborhood with retail and multifamily and senior housing. Flats at The Hatchery will be located near Hatchery Park, the development’s public park space.

EMBREY, which celebrated its 50th anniversary last year, has three other Austin properties, including Arboretum Oaks, Brightleaf at Lakeline and The Upland.

In their own words

“We built apartments, but they are homes,” said EMBREY President and CEO Trey Embrey. “They're places where people make their lives and there's nobility in what we do. We believe that ... [by] building the right product in the right places, ultimately we’ll be successful... You’d have a hard time arguing with me that this is not the ideal location.”

Luxury studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom residential units will be available. The first units are expected to deliver in Q3 of 2027, and the full project is slated to be complete in Q2 2028.
