1. Georgetown may close River Ridge Pool amid push to cut costs
Budget conversations are ramping up in Georgetown as city staff continue proposing new ideas to cut costs for fiscal year 2025-26, including closing River Ridge Pool.
Out of three outdoor pools run by the city, City Manager David Morgan said River Ridge Pool has the highest net cost per admission and is the least utilized.

2. Desi Bites being built out in Leander
A Desi Bites is coming to Leander.
According to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, a location off of Ronald Reagan Boulevard is being built out for the restaurant. The project is expected to kick off in July and finish in late January, according to the filing.

3. Austin Gastroenterology now offering AI-assisted colonoscopies
Patients at Austin Gastroenterology will now have access to new AI-assisted colonoscopies. The new procedure will serve as a tool to help specialists detect growths in the colon, without patients feeling any physical change in their colonoscopy experience, according to a news release.

4. About $260M in active road projects underway in Williamson County
Nine active road projects totaling roughly $260.7 million are underway in Williamson County’s four precincts throughout Liberty Hill, Cedar Park, Leander, Round Rock, Georgetown and Hutto.
