The new dessert shop is open across the street from Snooze, an A.M. Eatery on South Lamar Boulevard. The building was previously home to Nada Moo.
Dulce Frida first opened as a lemonade stand in 2020 and later opened in a food trailer. The brick-and-mortar serves Italian ice with flavors like strawberry, passionfruit and mango as well as Mexican-inspired ones like horchata and mango chamoy. Dulce Frida also serves freshly squeezed lemonade.
Owner Francisco Rosales said they recently began offering breakfast tacos and would eventually like to add Mexican pastries like churros to the menu. He said they will also be opening a party room and eventually host weekend farmers' markets in their parking lot.
