Mass grading begins on Amazon site in Round Rock

Dirt is turning on the Amazon site at CR 172 in Round Rock, after receiving approval for mass grading of the site in March.

This is the first step in the process of preparing the site for construction, said Bradley Dushkin, Round Rock's director of planning and development services.

Cedar Park supports traffic, revenue study for potential tollway at Ronald Reagan Boulevard

Recent action from the Cedar Park City Council may help advance the potential construction of a tollway along Ronald Reagan Boulevard.

At a March 27 meeting, council approved a resolution supporting a traffic and revenue study by the Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority. The study would assess the feasibility of building a toll road along Ronald Reagan Boulevard from RM 1431, or Whitestone Boulevard, to I-35.

Heirloom Georgetown developers expect early 2026 groundbreaking, seek City Council input


A master-planned community called Heirloom Georgetown is making strides in Georgetown almost one year after the project was first proposed to council members in April 2024.

Officials with Columnar Investments, the developer, expect to break ground on the roughly 620-acre project early 2026, Executive Director John Landwehr said in an email to Community Impact.

Texas Water Company cancels 9 water utility agreements for Comal County developments amidst drought


The Texas Water Company, or TWC, announced March 19 it will deny water service to nine planned development projects across Comal County because of “Texas experiencing prolonged severe drought alongside rapid population growth,” according to a news release.

TWC President Aundrea Williams said they do not have a definitive timeline for resuming water services but will resume once they have the capacity to do so, according to a letter sent to affected developers.
