Stuffed Cajun Meat Market brings taste of New Orleans to Cedar Park
Cedar Park community members can enjoy a taste of New Orleans’ bold flavors without making the eight hour drive by paying a visit to Stuffed Cajun Meat Market.
Owners Kurt Knies and Tim Garrett opened the business in 2010 after meeting at a previous job in Louisiana and discussing plans to bring traditional Cajun flavors to Austin. Knies said Garrett’s Louisiana roots inspired the business’ menu.

Cedar Park denies Atmos Energy Corporation gas rate increase
Cedar Park City Council at its Jan. 23 meeting voted to deny a gas rate increase proposed by Atmos Energy Corporation.
Cedar Park residents receive natural gas service from Texas Gas Service Company and Atmos Energy Corporation, according to agenda documents.
Atmos Energy filed a statement of intent to change gas rates for certain cities in its Mid-Tex service area with the Railroad Commission of Texas, according to the documents. The proposed effective date was Jan. 20.

Medical technology firm Enovis to open facility in Cedar Park
Enovis Corp., a multibillion dollar life sciences company, is expanding operations into Cedar Park, becoming the latest technology company to move to the area.
The city of Cedar Park announced the expansion in a news release Jan. 28. The $25.5 million facility is expected to create 162 jobs in the area, according to Daniel Sousa, Cedar Park’s assistant director of community affairs.

Guadalupe County Schertz Annex on track to reopen this spring
The Guadalupe County Schertz Annex building is on track to open its doors in the spring, Guadalupe County Public Information Officer Carmen Davila said.
Services at the Schertz annex relocated in March to begin the construction process, according to previous reporting by Community Impact.

Indoor children’s play studio coming soon to New Braunfels
An indoor children’s play studio called The Fun Bug, Play Studio & Parties is slated to open this spring at 2055 Central Plaza, Ste. 108 in New Braunfels.
Locally owned by husband-and-wife duo Clay and Kameron Saur, The Fun Bug, Play Studio & Parties will have a large play structure for children ages 0-6 years old, but it can accommodate children up to 12 years old, Kameron Saur told Community Impact.
