The family-owned and operated metal supplier anticipates a relocation to far east Austin in January 2026.

The details

Opened in Austin 1955 by Terry Mathis Westbrook, the business sells various metals from steel, stainless steel, aluminum and brass and copper materials for structural needs and design projects.

The open space at the relocation will make it easier for commercial trucks and other customers to get in and out of the site compared to the current location in central Austin, Westbrook Metals President and son of Terry Mathis, Terry Don Westbrook said. The new building will be over 41,000 square feet.

The metal supplier also has locations in San Antonio, Round Rock and Dallas and will celebrate its 70th anniversary in Austin in January. Sandra Polkowski and Sam Westbrook, Terry Don’s children, are the third generation of Westbrook family managers at the business.
