Conn’s HomePlus, retailer of home goods, furniture, appliances and consumer electronics, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on July 23. The company will shut down over 170 stores across 15 states and lay off over 4,000 employees.

The company was headquartered in The Woodlands and had 74 Texas locations.

The home goods store location in Austin’s Capital Plaza will remain open until everything has been sold, according to a Conn's HomePlus employee.

The store currently has sales between 40-60% off on a variety of items including rugs, box springs, massage chairs and barstools. For individuals who have previously purchased financed or warranty items from Conn’s, check the company’s frequently asked questions webpage for any changes.
