In an email to parents, Tim Savoy, the Hays CISD chief communications officer, announced all after-school activities will be canceled March 21 due to the threat of severe weather.
The National Weather Service issued a notice for hazardous weather for South-Central Texas with a chance of thunderstorms in the evening that may bring large hail, damaging winds and tornadoes. According to the NWS, the greatest threat will be from 3 p.m. March 21 to 3 a.m. March 22.
School will be released at the normal time.
