Construction of the Cassetta Ranch roundabout, a project being undertaken by developer Brohn Homes that began Nov. 4, is approximately 75% complete, according to Kyle City Engineer Leon Barba.

During the Jan. 19 City Council meeting, Barba said though there have been some delays in completion of the project, it should be complete by March.

At this time the north connection is closed except for southbound traffic, and Barba said the expected completion time for the project should not be delayed further.

The roundabout is located at Bunton Lane and Goforth Road, and city information states the project is necessitated by the continued development of the Casetta Ranch subdivision.

During a Dec. 17 City Council meeting, City Manager Scott Sellers said the roundabout was also requested by the city of Kyle in order to improve traffic flow at that location.

City information states a pedestrian path will be maintained through the Casetta Ranch site for Lehman High School students who walk to school along Bunton while the roundabout is under construction.
