Capital Area Rural Transportation System's Interurban Express 1517 Gold Bus route with two-way service between Austin and San Marcos will resume on Aug. 24 with a modified schedule, according to a press release issued by the city of San Marcos.

Passes are available to riders at the San Marcos Station at 338 S. Guadalupe St., and in Austin at Plaza Saltillo at 412 Comal St. Daily and monthly rider passes are also available for purchase through the HopThru App.

Seating limitations will be enforced due the coronavirus pandemic and face coverings—worn correctly—will be required for all passengers, the release stated.

CARTS will track daily, weekly and monthly ridership to evaluate adjustments to the service.

The Interurban Coach 1510 Yellow route is currently available to passengers wishing to travel between Austin and San Marcos through CARTS, and route schedules are available online.
