The reconstruction project on CM Allen Parkway that started in August 2018 is nearly finished, and the roadway has been opened to traffic.

The project’s work includes installing wide pathways, more parking and new street and pedestrian lighting in addition to landscaping and green infrastructure.

The total cost of the project was $2.8 million, according to the city.

Though the parkway is now open, the city announced through a Facebook post that there may be lane closures through January due to pavement marking, installation of additional landscaping and cleanup.
