The most recent data compiled by the Four Rivers Association of Realtors showed median home prices in Kyle and Buda decreased slightly year over year from March 2023 to March 2024. In San Marcos, however, median homes sales prices increased nearly 6.1% to $350,000.

The gist

Buda's median home price fell by more than 12% to $380,495 in March. Kyle's median price fell by less than 1% in the same time frame to $342,350.


At the same time, the average number of days homes spent on the market decreased in Buda by nearly 27% to 69 days, less than Kyle’s 83 days.



The number of homes sold in San Marcos decreased by over 19%, according to the data. Homes sold were up in both Kyle and Buda.


The number of new listings increased by just over 27% in San Marcos and nearly 32% in Buda. The average home price over the last six months in all three cities remained above $350,000. Buda’s average was the highest of the three, clocking in at $428,143.
