At the same time, the average number of days homes spent on the market increased in San Marcos and Kyle to over 100 days each but decreased to 76 days in Buda.
The number of homes under contract in San Marcos decreased by 35%, according to the data. The number of homes sold also decreased in San Marcos year over year.
The average home price over the last six months in Kyle approached $400,000, clocking in at $397,374. In San Marcos, that same figure was $375,851. Buda’s average home price remains the highest, at $431,501.
The number of new listings increased in each ZIP code. That year-over-year increase was the steepest in Kyle, clocking in at 147 new listings, or almost 71% more than December 2022.
