In the San Marcos-Buda-Kyle market, more homes were sold in Buda year over year in August, according to data from the Austin Board of Realtors.

While Kyle had the highest number of sales—113—in the market, Buda sales were overall up the most year over year by 39%. Kyle sales dropped around 3.5%, while San Marcos sales dipped the most by nearly 10%.


Homes in Buda were overall more expensive compared to Kyle and San Marcos, but prices decreased by nearly 14% year over year, the biggest drop in the market. Median home prices were down 12% in Kyle, while San Marcos saw a slight increase at just under 1%.


Although all three ZIP codes differed in prices and sales in August, homes stayed on the market for over a month, all longer compared to last year.
