San Marcos Police Officer JustinPutnam was killed in the line of duty April 18 when he and other officers answered a domestic violence call in the city. Residents paid their respects during an April 20 procession.
The route to pay respects to Putnam started in Austin making its way down to Thomason Funeral Home, San Marcos.
Officer Putnam was 31 years old and served San Marcos for 5 1/2 years. He is survived by his fiancee and family.
