Texas Children in Nature Network launched its newest regional collaborative—Hill Country Texas Children in Nature Network Collaborative—on April 7.

Hill Country Texas Children in Nature Network is the 11th regional collaborative TCiNN has launched.

What is it?

TCiNN is a grassroots network of over 900 partner organizations and individuals dedicated to connecting children and families with nature, according to a news release. Helen Holdsworth, director of stewardship at the Witte Museum, said their mission was to get kids outside because they are the future stewards of the land.

The details

Ryan Spencer, executive director of Comal Conservation, said discussions about building the regional collaborative stemmed from the population boom, specifically in Comal County.

Spencer said more and more people are moving to live in the Texas Hill Country, and that this was the best place for the collaborative to do their work.
