On April 24, the city of Kyle will partner with the Central Texas Food Bank and Texas Disposal Systems to host a mass food distribution.

The free event will be held at the Austin Community College Hays Campus at 1200 Kohlers Crossing, Kyle, between 9 a.m. and noon. Registration is not required, and the city said all are welcome.

Attendees will receive a box with milk and assorted produce as well as a box with proteins, but contents may vary based on availability.

Households are asked to send only one person to the campus for the distribution, and people should also remain in their vehicles to minimize the risk of spreading the coronavirus. To participate, attendees must arrive in a vehicle, and walk-ups will not be served.

Volunteers can sign up online, and more information about food distributions can be found here.

Additional distributions will be held May 22 and June 26.
