Roxanne’s House, the Hays-Caldwell Women’s Center’s Child Advocacy Center, celebrated the completion of a renovation on Feb. 7 that will give the center additional office space.

The center provides services for children who have been victims of abuse. Some of the services offered by the center include forensic interviews and individual and family counseling.

In 2019, the center served 574 victims of child abuse. Program Director Ashley Rios said in a press release the renovation will help further the center's mission.

The renovation included building an additional 300 square feet of office space, which will allow space for three additional staff members.

Renovations to Roxanne’s House were made by HomeAid Austin—a nonprofit that aims to help Austin’s homeless through housing and community outreach—in partnership with Brookfield Residential.

“This addition will make all the difference in our office space and ultimately being able to serve child abuse victims to the best of our abilities,” Rios said.
