The city of San Marcos will be celebrating the dedication of its newest mural, “Wild Rice,” on Dec. 7 at Wonder World Cave and Adventure Park, 1000 Prospect St., San Marcos. The artist who created the mural, Christopher Rodriguez, will be joining City Council members, the San Marcos Arts Commission and the mural arts committee for a public dedication. 512-393-8416. www.sanmarcostx.gov

State legislators seek removal of Confederate monuments at Texas Capitol
