Co-owners Susan Guerra and Sinéad Whiteside, whose Inspired Minds Art Center was awarded a lease in the former Buda City Hall building at 121 Main St., Buda, in August, are working on renovating the facility and plan to open in mid-January.

Inspired Minds aims to be a hub for both visual and performing arts and will offer classes, a gallery and events, according to the founders.

Though it is unfinished, workshops and classes such as polymer jewelry sculpting, holiday ornament making and outdoor perspective drawing have been hosted in the building for several months along with performances from the nonprofit community theater group Hill Country Theater. 512-256-0181. www.inspiredminds.art
