Update: 10:15 p.m. CST

Polls closed at 7 p.m. Dec. 7 for the runoff election for the Buda City Council At-Large Position 3 seat between LaVonia Horne-Williams and Emily Jones.

Following the general election Nov. 2, none of the candidates garnered more than 50% of the votes which triggered a runoff election, though Horne-Williams came close at 48.92%.

With 732 votes tallied in the runoff election, Horne-Williams won in final "unofficial" results with 434 votes—or 59.29%, followed by Jones with 298 votes—or 40.71%.

All results are unofficial until canvassed.
