Rebel Drive in Kyle to be renamed Fajita Drive in support of ‘community camaraderie’

Kyle City Council voted unanimously to rename Rebel Drive to Fajita Drive, a name officials said is significant to local culture and better suited to reflect the diversity of the city.

Williamson County judge requests additional state troopers following Austin City Council decision to reduce police funding

About 55,385 city of Austin residents also live in Williamson County, County Judge Bill Gravell said. Because of that, he said he is concerned for their safety after Austin City Council voted Aug. 13 to reduce the police budget by $150 million and reinvest some funds into community programs as well as reassigning some typical police functions to separate departments.

Median home prices in the San Marcos-Buda-Kyle market have risen steadily since July 2019 in all three area ZIP codes.

Townhouse sales jump nearly 160% in Round Rock, Pflugerville and Hutto

Townhouse sales have increased by 159% in Round Rock, Pflugerville and Hutto in the year to date, according to July data released Aug. 19 by the Austin Board of Realtors. The uptick stood out amid a 9% decrease this year in total residential sales in the three-city region.
